Rz. Phragmitis Lu Gen 10-60g Clears Lung Heat and promotes urination. (especially helpful for Lung abscess).
With Yi Yi Ren and Dong Gua Zi , for Lung abscess with purulent Blood streaked sputum.
Sm. Coicis Yi Yi Ren 10-30g Clears Lung Heat, drains Dampness and disperses pus from the upper body.
With Dong Gua Zi, for Lung or Large Intestinal abscess that has formed pus.
With Dong Gua Zi and Tao Ren, for Lung abscess.
Sm. Benincasae Dong Gua Zi 10-24g Clears and transforms Phlegm-Heat, resolves Dampness and eliminates pus.
With Tao Ren, has a mild laxative effect which helps relieve Phlegm-Heat through the stool.
Sm. Persicae Tao Ren 5-10g Invigorates the Blood, eliminates Blood Stasis, moistens Intestines, unblocks the bowels and drains abscesses.
With Yi Yi Ren and Dong Gua Ren, for Lung abscess.

SYNDROMES

  • Phlegm-Heat Congests the Lungs

  • Eye disorders due to upward blazing of Heat toxin

CLINICAL MANIFESTATIONS

  • Cough with foul-smelling, and / or thick,
    difficult to expectorate sputum
  • Cough may have no sputum
  • Sputum may be blood streaked
  • Mild chest pain
  • Dry, scaly skin
  • Slight fever
  • Red rashes
  • Thirst
  • T: Red
  • C: Yellow and greasy
  • P: Slippery and rapid
